UCF Downtown Student Life brings magic to 'Spirit Day'

North Terry Avenue was crowded with students on Thursday afternoon as over 100 students celebrated Downtown Student Life’s UCF and Valencia "Spirit Day" with a Harry Potter-themed twist. The event offered Butterbeer-inspired drinks, themed glasses, wands and stickers. Students also got the chance to tie-dye T-shirts, enjoy free food from Allan’s Jerk Shack food truck, and take part in inflatable axe-throwing and jousting.

UCF Victim Services founding director reflects on career prior to retirement

A good Samaritan found herself among the rubble and dust in New York City on September of 2001, helping victims and their families navigate what soon became a national tragedy.
Christine Mouton, director of UCF Victim Services and adjunct professor, is retiring this June after over 20 years of helping victims, including establishing Victim Services at UCF and setting up victim resource centers after 9/11, the Pulse Nightclub shooting and the Las Vegas shooting.
